A letter from the Chair of the Parish council prepared in cooperation with local retail businesses outlining support services and appealing for volunteers to help the community during this difficult period has been hand delivered to all residents in the Parish. Abbots Ripton Estate have published a local map of permissive footpaths, cycle ways and bridleways. These operate in addition to the public footpaths that cross the Estate land.
Highways England A14 Development – A brochure has been produced providing full details of the A14 development and its impact on local roads in and around Huntingdon.
Network Rail Level Crossing Closure – Work has been completed for the closure of the level crossing on Rectory Lane Abbots Ripton. Footpath re-routed details can be accessed on the link to the map.
The first section of the new A14 Huntingdon bypass opens December 9th. The Highways England map showing the detail is attached. A key point to note is that on opening, the section of the old A14 from Spittals to Godmanchester will be closed.
